This captivating large vintage acrylic painting on canvas by noted American artist Mary A. Reardon (1912–2002) depicts a breathtaking seascape at sunset. Bathed in golden light, the scene captures the dramatic meeting of land, sea, and sky, with rugged red cliffs and scattered islands glowing in the warm hues of the setting sun. The shimmering water reflects tones of gold, rose, and lavender, leading the eye toward the horizon where the sun descends in a haze of color.
Signed and dated Mary A. Reardon, 1993 in the lower right corner, and titled on verso, this work showcases the artist’s skill in blending realism with expressive color harmony.
