This original oil on canvas painting by listed artist Caroline Burnett beautifully captures one of Paris's most recognizable landmarks—the Arc de Triomphe—set along a bustling Parisian boulevard. Painted in Burnett's signature Impressionist style, the composition is filled with luminous light, expressive brushwork, elegant strolling figures, and dramatic skies that evoke the romance and timeless atmosphere of the French capital.
Long rays of sunlight break through the clouds, illuminating pedestrians as they walk toward the Arc de Triomphe. Loose painterly strokes and a refined palette of cool blues, soft grays, and warm earth tones create a beautiful balance between architecture and atmosphere. The tall vertical composition enhances the grandeur of the Parisian streetscape while making the painting especially striking in hallways, entryways, or sophisticated interiors.
The artwork is presented in an elegant decorative gold frame that complements the refined Impressionist palette and is ready to hang.

About the Artist
Caroline Burnett (C. Burnett, late 19th–early 20th century) was an American-born artist celebrated for her Impressionist street scenes of Paris. Living and working in France during the height of the Impressionist movement, she developed a distinctive style characterized by luminous color, expressive brushwork, and a masterful use of light and shadow.
Burnett became a member of the Société des Beaux-Arts in Paris and exhibited there in 1898. Her paintings frequently depict iconic Parisian landmarks, including the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower, elegant boulevards, flower markets, cafés, and lively city streets throughout the changing seasons.
Although firmly rooted in Impressionism, some of Burnett's later works reveal subtle abstract influences, particularly in the treatment of figures. Many of her paintings were produced for the thriving Belle Époque tourist market, allowing visitors to take home romantic memories of Paris. Today, her works remain highly collectible for their decorative appeal, historical charm, and timeless depiction of one of the world's most beloved cities.
