This is an original oil painting on canvas - a seascape featuring a sailing ship in the stormy ocean depicts a dramatic and turbulent scene with the ship battling against the forces of nature. The waves are high and rough, with whitecaps and foam visible on the water's surface.
Sails are billowing in the wind and its rigging creaking and groaning under the strain of the storm.
Framed measuring 31.5 "x 25.5" & painting measures 24"x 18".
Presented in a wood frame. Signed in the lower-right corner. Titled " Sovereign of the Seas" Built 1868 by Donald McKay.
