Up for sale gorgeous original Antique Nautical oil painting on board, signed by the mysterious Artist "T. Bailey" (American, 19th/20th).
The painting depicts a nautical scene. A classic dramatic and turbulent scene with the ship battling against the forces of nature. The waves are high and rough, with whitecaps and foam visible on the water's surface.
Framed in a nice wood frame.
Signed in a lower right corner T.Bailey.
Condition: The painting has one repaired horizontal scratch in the upper middle.
According to information from different sources, T. Bailey did not exist but was a pseudonym of several artists from the Massachusetts communities around Cape Ann. One of these Artists was William F.Paskell (British-American 1866-1951). This truly is a unique and intriguing piece of art you will enjoy having in your collection.
