1894 Original Antique Oil painting on board, Rural Landscape, Monogrammed

Up for sale is this antique original oil painting on board depicting a serene and picturesque landscape, featuring a traditional rural setting. The scene is dominated by a large, verdant mountain in the background, under a sky with gentle clouds, giving the composition a peaceful and expansive feel. In the foreground, a quaint wooden mill house with a thatched roof is situated beside a flowing stream, complete with a working waterwheel, suggesting the mill is active. A stone bridge crosses the stream, leading to a pathway that meanders towards a flock of sheep grazing near the mill, adding life and activity to the scene. Houses in a gorgeous antique ornate period frame. 

The painting and the frame overall are in good condition. Signs of age and wear. Some stable craquelures. The painting has one repaired area in the lower-left corner. The antique frame has some cracks and scuffs.
